omic Corridor (CPEC) by taking all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan into confidence.

int Cooperation Committee (JCC) on CPEC recently held in Beijing, said that some elements are hell-bent to hamper deve
lopment by spreading confusion over th
ese projects.
He said that utmost transparency was being ensured in CPEC projects. While referring to the process, he said that Beijing proposes a panel of three Chinese
companies and Islamabad selects the lowest bidding
company. He revealed that the bulk of the investment under CPEC is in the energy sector directly by Chinese
companies, and infrastructure is the second most important sector.
Ahsan Iqbal thanked Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak for his cooperation in furthering CPEC. Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider and Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman also attended the meeting.
