RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Commissioner Azmat Mehmood held a meeting today in which the decision to to purchase 9894 kanals of land for the constru
ction of Rawalpindi Ring Road was taken. According to media reports, the project wi
ll be completed within two years and loan wi
ll be provided by the Asian Bank.
A meeting, headed by Rawalpindi Commissioner Azmat Mehmood has been held in Rawalpindi to take an overview of the project.
The commissioner said that 9894 Kanal property wi
ll be purchased for this development project and designing of the route wi
ll be completed as per the recommendations given by Asian Development bank. He underlined that the project wi
ll be helpf
ul to ensure smooth flow of traffic in Rawalpindi city and its adjoin
ing areas.
The re
presentatives of Asian Development Bank said in the meeting that the bank is ready to give loan for the purchase and constru
ction of Rawalpindi Ring Road.
They said the bank is also cooperating in the designing of ring road, stressing that designing should be completed as soon as possible so that funds could be provided.
